The Electoral Reform Society has responded to the recent leak of a draft of the Government’s long awaited Review of Electoral Systems. The Review, a two-time manifesto pledge and a work-in-progress since February 2005, was intended to critique the system at the heart of Westminster: first-past-the-post elections.

The Electoral Reform Society has responded positively to the Electoral Commission’s indictment of the recent e-voting pilots. The Commission has called for a halt to future pilots until adequate safeguards, including individual voter registration, are in place.
